Yoshiko Fuji was born into a samurai family in Japan on the day of rain water according to the East Asian celestial calendar.  Yoshiko means exquisite one gods love.  Theatre credits include Takeshi Kitano stage production of Miyako Inn in Tokyo and Everyone’s Carol alongside Austin Pendleton and Arthur French in New York.  New York workshops / readings include Anna Simone Scott's The Grass Couch with Tovah Feldshuh directed by Michael Parva.  Film credits include Sayônara directed by Cannes Prix du Jury Award winner Kôji Fukada, Fuunji directed by Japan Academy Award winner Shigeru Ishihara, and Tayutau with cinematography by Japan Academy Award winner Naoki Kayano.  Her speaking / singing voice has been featured in national commercials, animation, and museums.  Fuji is a global ambassador for Yorai 5, the artisan tea brand in Taiwan.  The Japanese government awarded Fuji the Overseas Study Programme for Artists Fellowship Grant for her work on Japanese stage.  Classically trained in New York with the gold standards of Broadway and Cinema.  She is a member of Japan Actors Union, as well as Actors' Equity Association in the USA.
