Yoshiko Fuji

Actress

Yoshiko Fuji was born into a samurai family in Japan on the day of rain water according to the East Asian celestial almanac.  Yoshiko means exquisite one gods love.  Her global collaborations include Everyone’s Carol (with Austin Pendleton and Arthur French); The Grass Couch (with Tovah Feldshuh); Miyako Inn (Takeshi Kitano stage production); Sayônara starring Irène Jacob (Kôji Fukada: Cannes Prix du Jury Award winner); and Fuunji (Shigeru Ishihara: Japan Academy Award winner).  Her speaking / singing voice has been featured in national commercials, animation, and museums.  The Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for Artists Fellowship Grant recipient.
